The things we must do before we die.

The title of this post may seem quite inappropriate given a Christian's life joy to enter the kingdom of His glory in Heaven. Well let me stop your thoughts for a moment and tell you it is the 3 year old in the family with these concerns. There are so many things about my God and my faith that I am not meant to understand, let alone explain their vastness to a three year old. Lately Anasten has concerned herself greatly with all of these topics. Christ as a man, God, spirit. Christ's body dying, resurrection, etc. Imagine our confusion as we try to explain these topics without massacring the meaning. Well I am sure you can imagine as many of you have been there that this is not easy, actually it is one of the most difficult endeavors ever! Tonight on the way to daddy/daughter basketball we were carrying on this same circle of questions. The last questions was this....

"Daddy will I not go to heaven until after Disneyland?"
"I don't think you will go to Heaven until after Disneyland."
"Oh good, I sure want to go to Disneyland before I die and go to Heaven."

hmmm the simple mind.

Aren't you smart?

If you have ever had a three or four year old you know that you answer ALOT of questions! Our favorite answer is "that is the way God made it." Anasten asks so many questions that we just reach a point we don't know how to answer. I think she just asks to hear herself ask. She will also ask, "how do you know?" Josh likes to tell her its because he is smart. Well that caught up with him the other day. Anasten asked a question, he said he didn't know. Anasten said, "but I thought you were smart!" She doesn't let anything go by the way side:)

Christmas put to good use.

Luke got toys for Christmas that he wasn't quite old enough for, (not to suprising since he was a newborn.) His big toy was a jumparoo. We never had one with Anasten and I always thought they were fun. I found a great deal at Kid To Kid and was excited to give it to him. This last couple weeks he has figured it all out and has grown enough to really jump. He is so cute and fun to watch in his jumparoo...take a look.

Are you ready to PARTY!

Once again Mike Gompert ever so kindly agreed to host a party for me. This time it was for Todd's 24th birthday. It was quite a party! Even our cousin Ryan got to come and sleep over with Todd. Take a look....

smiles!

There is just something infectious about a chubby smiley baby! Well I have one of those. Luke smiles all the time at anyone and in most any situation. Today he had to get his four month shots. I learned that his same infectious smile can be the most heartbreaking. He smiled with his dimples shining at me and the nurse. The guilt poored through us knowing what was coming. The second that needle went into his little chubs the saddest most let down most confused cry and tears came out of smiles. I think it made it so much worse because he trully trusted and thought no one would ever defy him like that. I believe his little heart is somewhat recovered, and yes the dimples have returned.

Forget corn meal, we are having pizza!

This is the text I recieved from Josh at about 11:30 this morning. What does this mean you might be thinking? I ran out of cornmeal (which is a big ingredient in the dinner I was planning.) I told Josh I had to get some today. His text means he got the job at work he applied for! He is now an assistant manager for Flying J's Bank Recon. He is in position to step up to manager in possibly three months! So.....we are having pizza to celebrate!
My husband the manager!

What a text...God is good!
